While your site is being built

This usually takes about 10 minutes. You can close the page — we email you when it's ready.

Building a site means setting up its own hosting, database and storage, then building it and filling it with content. Your dashboard follows along in 5 stages:

Setting up your space. We're reserving a home for your new site.
Preparing your database. Getting a safe place ready for your content and settings.
Building your website. Putting your pages together — this is the longest part.
Adding your content. Filling your site with starter pages, text and images.
Finishing touches. Checking everything works before we hand it over.

You don't have to watch: the build runs on our side. When it's done you get an email — Your trial site is ready — with links to the site and its admin.

If a build hits a snag, its card says so. We take it from there — you don't need to do anything.
